Brittany The magical shores of Brittany are rough and deeply indented. This landscape, with its charming fishing villages, rocky islands, and Celtic language, is very similar to that of its cultural siblings, Scotland, Ireland and Cornwall. We are twinned with many Cornish villages and towns.

Despite its ruggedness, the coast has a number of good beaches, especially near Saint-Malo and the mouth of the Loire River. In the Gulf of Morbihan near Vannes, a multitude of tiny islands grow and shrink with the tides.

Carnac Renowned ancient standing stones and fine sandy beaches. Carnac is famous as the site of more than 3,000 prehistoric standing stones. The stones were hewn from local rock, and were erected by the pre-Celtic people of Brittany.

Concarneau Large fishing port with lovely old quarter enclosed by granite ramparts.

Dinan Wonderfully preserved medieval town. Dinan is a walled Breton town and a commune in the Côtes-d Armor département, France. It is one of France's most attractive walled towns.

Josselin Impressive chateau overlooking the picturesque canal. Josselin is a commune of France, in the Morbihan département, in the region of Brittany. It is very close to Pontivy.

St Meriadek is said to have founded a chapel there during the 4th century. It became a stronghold of the House of Rohan.

Pink Granite Coast Strangely eroded rocks scattered along the shores around Perros Guirec.
